Something beautiful happened today.
My friend, Shaikh, called me and asked for a favour. His car ran out of gas after he parked it, so he wanted my help to buy some petrol from the gas station. It was 30 mins to 5pm, which means we had to rush because we had an iftar to attend (Maghrib at 4:59pm, btw).
First gas station:
After getting our hopes up, we (as in Huda and I) found out that the portable fuel tank wasn't available. We walked back to the car, hoping and praying that the next gas station has it. I remember praying for Allah to ease everything..
Second gas station:
Yep. They have the portable fuel tank. What's even better, the only staff in charge - he's a muslim. We were greeted with the salaam, and he even helped us a lot - he filled the portable fuel tank for us (he didn't have to do that! Obviously customers usually do it themselves) & got us a plastic bag so that we can carry it without getting our hands dirty (there were oil stains, of course).
Wait, don't stop reading yet. I promise I actually have a point, which is.. Allah does not disregard any prayer. Fullstop. In my case, He accepted our du'a instantly!!! He made our affairs so easy - I never expected that it would be that easy. Allah is Great, you guys. To be able to experience the feeling where Allah has listened to your prayer is beyond amazing. It makes you feel so grateful and so small - it makes you realize that you really need Him, you need Him every single second of your life. I'm taking this opportunity to remind myself that I need to remember Him when I'm happy, not just when I'm sad.
Alhamdulillah, all praises to Allah. May He keep us on the right path, aamiin.
