Today, I got the answer to my question that has been around for years (mainly because I haven't got the time or have always forgotten to actually find the answer). But yeah, alhamdulillah, now I know the answer.
I have always wondered what would happen to the kind and nice non-muslims on Judgment Day. Will their good deeds be counted for rewards? Or will they go straight to Jahannam, no matter how nice they were to other people and the environment?
As I sat on the couch, there was Cinta Ilmu programme on TV, discussing "Al-Mizan". I found out that Allah is indeed Ar-Rahman & Ar-Rahim, even when He deals with His slaves who did not obey Him. For non-muslims who did many good deeds in their lives, Allah will lighten their punishment in Jahannam (this was based on a sahih hadeeth). However, they will never get to enter Jannah. Wallahu a'lam.
MashaAllah. These days, we tend to overlook this huge blessing: being a muslim. We will never be saints, but as long as it is not Qiamat, the door of repentance is wide open. We should be grateful to be muslims, and always, always ask for forgiveness from Allah, for He is Al-Ghaffar. It is not too late to change for the better.
May Allah forgive us all.
Aameen.
